Falkland Islands (Malvinas) Penguins around Yorke Bay
Around Yorke Bay there are Magellanic Penguin Colonies to be met. During the breeding period, they mostly stay on the beaches and wonder around the high grass tussocks.
Photography Tips
Take some foreground into the frame and create diagonals with the grass to make the image more interesting and give some context regarding the area.
Travel Information
Stay within the areas of allowances to protect the wildlife. You can easily walk here from Port Stanley (1:30h approx.) or take the local caps. Sometimes hitchhiking works out as well in these areas since the locals are quite friendly.
