On the west side of Westpoint Island is rare Southern Rockhopper Penguin colony which nests all around the higher tussock grasses.

Travel Information
West Point Island is a privately owned island which can only be reached by boat. From the jetty, it's around a 30 minutes walk to the side of the colony.
