Faroe Islands The cliff of Kalsoy, Faroe Island [drone]

This cliff is located on the West side of the Island of Kalsoy. Pretty much at the North end, to be exact. It has a straight drop into the Atlantic Ocean and can only be seen like this from the air.

I used my drone to capture this massive drop featuring the Atlantic ocean. Since I flew from the lighthouse, I had some connection issues due to the distance and height. Be aware of strong winds!

You can only enter the island of Kalsoy by ferry. No tunnel or bridge connects this place on Earth to the other islands of the Faroe Islands. Make sure to come here early as it's first come, first serve, and the ferry is relatively small + the locals can always skip the line. Drive to the end of the only existing road on Kalsoy towards Trøllanes. Before starting the hike, you will find a small car park and a public restroom. You have two options: Hiking to the lighthouse and flying from here is more manageable. There are signs you can follow or use a tracking app to keep you on track since you walk on the grass. It took me around 30-45 minutes to get to the lighthouse, which you can already see by 60-70% of the trail. The second option: Hike straight from the parking towards the colossal mountain you can see next to the marked position. You could place yourself in the image and take an epic selfie up here. But it's steep and exhausting and quite dangerous to go close to the cliff. Be aware of the harsh weather of the Faroe Islands, and don't go too close to the Cliffs!
