Finland Kotavaara Observation tower

A few kilometers east of the northernmost city of Finland, Kemijärvi, there is this observation tower on a hill overlooking a beautiful landscape.

Travel Information

The tower is signposted (Näkötorni) at the European Route 63 (E63). Via a gravel road and a gradient, you can drive to a parking lot from which the ascent of the hill starts. The trail is a few hundred meters long. Half-way up, Nordic walking and skiing poles are hanging for free availability.
