In summer, the hike to Ukko-Luosto is a beautiful hike from the forests up to the region's barren mountain. In summer, when the midnight sun is shining, you have a wide view over the many lakes and deep green forests. The weather radar station makes an almost apocalyptic impression with its round dome.

Photography Tips

To represent the dome faithfully, it is advisable to use a person for Scale. A more attractive image is also created when the sun hits the station. Make the most of the midnight sun!

In summer, the walk out of the city takes about an hour via the many newly built steps.
