Finland View to Ukko-Luosto from Santa Hotel Aurora
Luosto in central Lapland is still a small, sleepy place compared to the big tourist boards, but it has at least as much to offer. Ukko-Luosto is a great vantage point with a view of the snow-covered and icy landscapes. The frozen trees are particularly inspiring, as are the many winter activities that you can do there.
Photography Tips
The sunrise and sunset times conjure up picturesque cold! So always take advantage of these times. Pack a cleaning cloth and pay attention to the differences in heat and cold for your equipment!
Travel Information
From Rovaniemi Airport it is about a 2-hour drive to Luosto. The roads are often icy, but easily accessible with a 4x4 or winter tires. There are plenty of parking spaces available (see markings).
