Finland Ukko-Luoston Maisematupa, Luosto-Pyhä National Park

The Scienic hut at the top of Ukko-Luosto is the perfect place for a rest during your hike, for sunrise, sunset and for Northern Lights encounters.

Inside, the hut is furnished in fine wood and offers a warm place to escape the cold. When the northern lights come out, the surrounding area offers many great motifs with a great view in every direction.

Special tipp: Still in autumn up the fell at Ukko-Luosto and the hut you can find lots of blueberries for a nice fresh breakfast after sunrise.

Go for sunrise.

Try to find perspectives around the hut and into the direction of the sun or with framings like the construction itself.

When the first light is rising up the moos is getting a great golden color on the bottom which leads you to the direction of the person in frame.

Also search for small subjects like the blueberries. This creates a series from a place instead of just having one or two photos.

From the marked hiking point it takes about 30 minutes up to the hut in summer and autumn. The trail is an easy one and in winter you can use snowshoes you want to. You should take hiking poles with you for stabilization.
