Finland Stairs up too Ukko-Luosto, Pyhä-Luosto National Park

The 575 steps leading to the summit make the final climb a little challenging, but the views from the top are a great reward.

Ukko-Luosto is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Pyhä-Luosto National Park, offering panoramic views over the endless forests and rolling fells of Finnish Lapland. Even in autumn, the hike is well worth it, with colourful landscapes and beautiful contrasts between the golden trees and dark evergreen forests.

Frame the stairs in a way that the viewer of the photo is following the steps vom left to right through the image.

The hike starts at Luosto Gate (Luostonportti), where you can park your car. Follow the marked trail towards Ukko-Luosto and the 575 steps leading to the summit. The round trip via the stairs is approximately 5 km and takes around 3–4 hours, depending on your pace and stops. The trail is open for hiking in summer and autumn, but can be steep and rocky in places.
