Finland Walkaway at Ahvenlampi, Pyhä-Luosto National Park

Ahvenlampi is a peaceful lake surrounded by dense northern forest in the Pyhä-Luosto National Park. The quiet shoreline offers a more intimate landscape compared with the larger lakes in the region, with trees, rocks and calm water creating plenty of natural details. It is especially atmospheric in autumn, when the changing colours are reflected in the lake and the surrounding forest.

Use the wooden walkway as a natural frame and leading line, letting it guide the viewer towards the lake or into the surrounding forest.

Ahvenlampi is reached via the marked hiking trails in the Pyhä-Luosto National Park. The easiest approach depends on which section of the trail network you are coming from, so check the current trail map before setting out; the official park network includes numerous marked routes and trailheads around Pyhä and Luosto.
