Finland Pitkä-Hoilua, Hossa Nationalpark
Pitkä-Hoilua is a beautiful lakeside location in Hossa National Park in northeastern Finland, surrounded by peaceful pine forests and crystal-clear waters. It's a wonderful place to experience the Finnish wilderness, especially during a road trip through the region.
One highlight is the designated campfire area near the lake, where you can enjoy a cozy evening surrounded by nature. With wooden benches, a traditional fire pit, and the forest as a backdrop, it's the perfect setting to capture the atmosphere of an outdoor adventure in Finland.

Photography Tips
For this particular shot, I used a wide-angle perspective with the campfire as the main foreground element and my campervan positioned between the trees in the background. The warm flames create a beautiful contrast with the cooler tones of the surrounding forest during the evening.
Try shooting shortly after sunset, when there's still enough natural light to capture details in the trees and landscape while the fire becomes the brightest element in your composition.
Expose carefully to preserve details in the flames, and shoot in RAW to recover some of the darker areas during editing. A wide-angle lens works particularly well to capture the entire campsite and create a cozy, story-driven composition.
