So impressive to see all this sand touching the trees nearby and letting them look like they were only a few meters high...

true - the dimensions are breathtaking - highest points are up to 140m the widths is 1-2 km and the length more than 5km..... typical France - it is not really restricted to be there - you can climb it, you can slide down the steep slope - I really wonder if - from time to time - people get trapped in the sand..... we just climbed it and had some great hours up there
