France Plage de Vasterival
Large areas of a spectacular beach under chalk cliffs. A warning sign is confirmed by several small and medium-sized break-offs from the cliff face, and by an entire wall that has fallen over. The boulders that have been here for a while have been reshaped by the sea water into bizarre shapes. Some are completely overgrown with green.
Travel Information
Some access roads to the chalk cliffs of the Alabaster Coast are closed to vehicles. At Sainte Marguerite there is a good access road to the Plage de Vasterival. The road ends at a car park. From there, a footpath leads down through a cut in the rock. A sign warns of falling walls. Finally, a stairway leads down to the beach.
