The Pont des Amours is a romantic pedestrian bridge in Annecy, France, connecting the Jardins de l'Europe with the Esplanade du Pâquier over the Vassé canal. Known as the "Lovers' Bridge," legend says that couples who kiss there will stay together forever. It offers beautiful views of Lake Annecy and the surrounding Alps, making it a popular and photogenic spot.

Photography Tips

To photograph the Pont des Amours from the shore, shoot during golden or blue hour for soft, atmospheric light. Use trees or the canal as natural frames and capture reflections in calm water. A standard or telephoto lens works well; try f/8 or f/11 for landscape sharpness. Including people, birds, or boats adds life and scale to the scene.

Travel Information

The Pont des Amours is easily reached on foot from Annecy’s old town. Walk through the Jardins de l'Europe or along the Esplanade du Pâquier by the lake – it’s just a few minutes from the city center and well signposted.
