France Petit Minou Lighthouse Bridge

The Petit Minou Lighthouse (Phare du Petit Minou) is a picturesque and historically significant lighthouse located in Plouzané, at the entrance of the Goulet de Brest in Brittany, France.

Construction Year: 1848, to aid navigation through the treacherous waters of the Goulet de Brest.
Fort du Petit Minou: The lighthouse stands in front of this 17th-century fort, built between 1694 and 1697 under the direction of Vauban, a prominent military engineer. The fort was part of a coastal defense system for Brest.

The winding S-shaped stone path leading to the lighthouse creates a strong leading line, perfect for composition.
The arched bridge adds depth and symmetry, especially when shot from the cliffs or beach below.
Early morning and late evening light enhances the textures of the stone and the sea, casting warm tones and long shadows.
The lighthouse looks stunning during blue hour with long exposure shots, especially with waves crashing below and soft light in the sky.

The lighthouse is open to the public during summer months (typically June to September). Access is usually free, but guided tours may be available during special events.

There is free parking available near Plage du Petit Minou, a short walk from the lighthouse.
