France The Choir of Sainte-Cécile Cathedral
Inside the Cathedral of Sainte-Cécile in Albi, the vast Gothic choir is enclosed by an intricate stone rood screen, with stalls for the clergy and a ceiling painted in deep blue and gold. Built of brick in the 13th century, Sainte-Cécile is the largest brick cathedral in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
