Le Roc des Loups is a granite rock formation located along the Way of St. James between Rieutort-d'Aubrac and Malbouzon.

The site offers a magnificent view of the Aubrac plateau and makes for an incredible photo spot with its spiral patterns of stones on the ground.

Photography Tips

Check local drone regulations first. You might need to obtain a permit from the local authorities. Aim for golden hour, especially sunrise, to get a beautiful light on the rocks.

Travel Information

Follow the pin to then GPS parking spot. There is only enough space for one car to park below a tree. From there, follow the trail. It should take you 15 minutes to get to the rock formation. This is part of the Way of St James trail.
