France Basilique Saint-Martin de Tours
The Basilica of Saint Martin is a Roman Catholic basilica in Tours, France, dedicated to Saint Martin of Tours and built over his tomb. The present church was designed by French architect Victor Laloux and constructed between 1886 and 1902 in a Romanesque-Byzantine, or Neo-Byzantine, style. It occupies part of the site of a much larger medieval basilica that developed around the tomb of Saint Martin and became an important pilgrimage center during the Middle Ages.
