This spot is located near the Piau-Engaly ski resort, near the Neouvielle reserve. It is a very nice place to shoot frozen water in winter. In other seasons, the spot is less interesting.

Photography Tips

Come early in the morning, to catch the first rays of light on top of the mountains. Carry warm clothes and mountain equipment as tempetures may be very low in winter. Be aware of snow conditions.

Travel Information

Come by car, take care of the snow in winter, and use the Piau-Engaly ski resort parking areas.
You may easily reach the Badet valley by walking 20 minutes. Then follow the river and look for frozen water. If you are not familiar with mountain hiking, especially in winter, hire a guide and do not come alone.
