Tête de Chien (550 m) is a rock promontory near the village of La Turbie. It overlooks the Principality of Monaco, and has a great views of the Grande Corniche road, Cap Ferrat, Cap d’Antibes and sometimes even the St Tropez peninsula or Corsica.
From some angles the mountain resembles dog’s head, hence the name. A fortress was built on the summit in the 19th century, today there’s a research centre.
This place is amazing cause you can also climb. The routes offer various climbing styles with lots of tuffas and multiples routes over 30 meters high.
