Georgia Shatili

Very unique and beautiful village. Great for astro photography because there's not much light pollution anywhere in the area.

Shatili is located in a valley near the Chechnyan/Russian border. It's about a five hour drive away from Tbilisi, mostly on unpaved roads. The scenery is breathtaking along this road, so you'll have plenty of photo opportunities. Parking is free and you have a couple of B'n B's in the area. Note that the location is very remote.
