The tendency is to only see one or two spots on the Wasserkuppe, however the terrain is extensive and can be easily explored.

Photography Tips

This is the narrow end of the milky way, opposite of the center, as the meteor showers happened on that side. This should have been the Alpha Aurigids, which occur in early September

Use the general parking on the Wasserkuppe or stop somewhere by the side of the road.
