The Japanese Garden in Augsburg, created in 1985, is a peaceful part of the Botanical Garden. Designed by Yoshikuni Araki, it features traditional Japanese elements like ponds, stones, and lanterns. It celebrates Augsburg’s friendship with its Japanese sister cities and is one of the most beautiful gardens of its kind outside Japan.

Photography Tips

For photographing Augsburg’s Japanese Garden, shoot in soft light like early morning or cloudy days, use a polarizing filter to reduce reflections, and focus on composing with natural frames and reflections in the water. Try different angles and be patient to capture quiet, detailed moments.
