The megalithic tomb, originally surrounded by 170 boulders, is one of the most impressive megalithic structures in north-western Germany with its length of 104 metres and a width of 8 to 9 metres. It is located on the territory of the municipality of Großenkneten near Engelmannsbäke inn.

Light conditions are difficult. A good advice would be to use exposure bracketing and proper post production.

Travel Information

A nearby parking lot is private property of the "Engelmannsbäke " Inn, mentioned above, but for guests it is free and after a refreshment you can explore the area comfortably.
