It's one of only a few spots in Rhineland-Palatinate to see bee-eaters during summer time.

Photography Tips

Come early in the morning to see quite some bee-eater couples. Bring a tripod and some time since it could be busy with other photographers.

Travel Information

The spot is located on the road between Lambsheim and Gerolsheim. Also the observation shelter can be reached by car directly, it is prohibited and police is checking on it once in a while. Hence, best is to park just right of the main road and walk the around 100 meters to the shelter.
