The view across the lake to the Alps is beautiful & there are many great spots to capture the Allgäu Alps.
Please be considerate of the farmers. This field in particular is not mowed often & you should not just walk through the tall grass.
Once you have taken a few photos here, you can walk directly to the lake to take a few more photos there.

I recommend you a tripod & a focal length around 28mm to get a similar image crop.
This spot is recommended for Sunset & Milkyway in summer/autumn

Travel Information

This one is a hidden spot & best reached on foot or by bike.From the Illasbergsee parking lot, walk east along the road to a small dirt road on the right. From here on I recommend to use a map on your smartphone to find the spot.
