Although there's a ski lift of to the top it's worth taking a walk. It is a very pleasant but popular place. It is the highest spot on the Black Forest, you can see the hills around, the French Rhein Valley and in clear weather the Swiss Alps as well. Usually it is a bit windy, take care of layered clothing.

Photography Tips

If you want to take a photo without people on it, get there by sunrise. Not even the place is calm but you get to see the sunrise from the top. Bring a steady tripod, the place is usually very windy.

Big parking garage is available in the ski town about 180 meter lower right next to a roundabout.
