The Vitra-Haus, in Weil, am Rhein is a modern deconstructivism-style building built by the architect firm Herzog & de Meuron in Basel and completed and opened in March 2010. The house serves the manufacturer and retailer of home and office furniture Vitra as an exhibition and presentation area.
The building is approximately 57 meters long, 54 meters wide and 21 meters high and towers over the other buildings on the Vitra Campus. The twelve individual structures – the classic “Urhaus” as the basic model, so to speak – look like randomly stacked houses and thus form the overall building on five levels. The individual structures cantilever up to 15 meters apart. Almost all of these structures are completely glazed at the front. Inside the building, the floor slabs cut into the gables of the level below. The open centre on the ground floor is a wood-planked square, from which you can reach the foyer with shop and café. Technical and storage rooms are located in the basement. The building is accessible via stairs as well as elevators.

The Vitra Campus offers the photographer a variety of motifs. In the Vitra house, you can take photos without any problems. But I think that using a tripod is not welcome.
