The original Deutsche Bank high-rise was built between 1979 and 1984 according to plans by the architects Walter Hanig, Heinz Scheid and Johannes Schmidt. In 2011, the banking complex was demolished down to the supporting structure under the working title Greentowers and extensively modernized under the direction of Bellini (design) and Gerkan, Marg and Partners (technology).
