The Jodokus Chapel was built around 1250. The church tower and chancel were made of sandstone humpback ashlars. After the Reformation, the sacred building was deconsecrated and the church tower was extended with shell limestone storeys around 1570. A half-timbered superstructure was built on top. It now served as the "Josenturm" and was part of the town wall.
