The Geißalpe near Nebelhorn in Oberstdorf is a charming alpine pasture hut nestled amid snow-covered peaks and surrounded by serene mountain lakes. Best accessed via the Nebelhornbahn, the spot becomes magical after the lifts close, perfect for capturing winter cabins glowing at sunset. For a classic storybook scene, consider spending the night in the nearby Edmund‑Probst‑Haus. You can go up the hill by :mountain_cableway: but the best images can be shot after the gondola is closed.
I would suggest the best way is to sleep at the DAV cabin “Edmund Probsthaus”.
