The Marktkirche (Market Church) in Wiesbaden is a neo-Gothic Protestant landmark built between 1853 and 1862. Known as the “Cathedral of Nassau,” it stands out for its red-brick façade, five towers, and 88-meter-high spire, the tallest in the city. Up close, visitors can admire detailed brickwork, ornate stained glass, and a vaulted ceiling painted like a starry sky. Inside, the historic Walcker organ and the largest carillon in Hesse add to its cultural and architectural significance.

The Marktkirche is situated in the heart of Wiesbaden, at Schlossplatz, and can be easily reached on foot from the main train station in approximately 15 minutes or by bus to the stop “Dernsches Gelände.” Parking is available nearby for those arriving by car.
