The Royal Country House in Potsdam, a half-timbered house belonging to the Russian colony of Alexandrowka, was built on Kapellenberg (Chapel Hill) as the house of the caretaker of the Alexander Nevsky Memorial Church. It was constructed according to a design for a planned village near Pushkin, which was never built. King Frederick William III maintained a tea room in this house, which could accommodate up to 40 people.
