The Protestant Church in Geilenkirchen-Hünshoven, inaugurated in 1866, was a simple nave structure with three arched windows on each of its long sides. A small porch originally housed the church's central portal.
In 1956, the brick church was given its current appearance, which differs significantly from its original state. After the recessed choir apse was demolished, the nave was significantly extended. On the west side, the previous central portal was removed in favor of two side entrances. Following an exterior renovation of the tower in 2015, the church was once again given a church clock.
