Germany Hiking way to Riedberger Horn, Allgäu
On your way to the Riedberger Horn you can spot some rare black grouse in winter. There are strict rules to stay on the trails. The trails are mostly forbidden for skiing to give the birds a secure place.
Photography Tips
1. Use a tele-zoom lens and be careful with your speed in hiking when you spot a bird. They are really shy and can move away quickly.
2. On your way up before sunrise it is always worth it to take a look behind you and shot some nice silhouette in the first orange light.
3. Use a headlamp and the blue light for some nice shots in darkness. It's important to shoot in high ISO. Would recommend to use the noise reduction tool in photoshop.

Travel Information
The trail itself is an easy one. You can start from the parking lot at the "ski paradise Grasgehren". You need around 2,5km one way with an elevation of around 350 meter. Take care in winter, it can be slippery.
