Germany U-Bahn Heidelberger Platz
The Heidelberger Platz U-Bahn Station in Berlin is built in a historicist style with strong neo-romanesque and church-like elements. It has a “cathedral-like” design.
The station was constructed between 1910 and 1913 and designed by Wilhelm Leitgebel. The intention was to create a monumental underground space that resembles a sacred hall rather than a typical subway station.

Photography Tips
It is rather dark down there, so I tripod is a must. I stood there for about 20 minutes and did not encounter any problems.
Space is limited, so you will need a wide-angle.

Travel Information
One could visit this subway-station by...well...subway. There is an S-Bahn above ground as well, though.
