Germany Amrum Quermarkenfeuer

The cross-range light is a great subject for photography on Amrum. It can be used as a standalone subject, as a foreground element for Milky Way photography, or in combination with the moon.
Das Quermarkenfeuer ist ein tolles Motiv auf Amrum. Sowohl als Motiv allein oder als Vordergrund für Milchstrassenfotografie oder eben im Zusammenspiel mit dem Mond.

This requires some preparation. It's quite far from any roads, and involves long walks because it's located in the middle of the dunes of Amrum. For this photo, you need to know exactly when and where the moon will be in relation to the foreground. To determine this, you'll need to research where you can position yourself far away from the foreground to make it appear small. Once all that's sorted, you'll need a long telephoto lens. In my case, a 500mm, and of course, a stable telephoto lens and ideally a remote shutter release. The longer the telephoto lens and the higher the zoom factor, the greater the risk of camera shake. If you're using a DSLR, you should select Live View mode so the mirror is already flipped up, as camera shake can also cause blur.

Hier erfordert es schon einige Vorbereitung. Es ist ziemlich weit entfernt von Strassen. Lange Strecken zu gehen weil es mitten in den Dünen von Amrum gelegen ist. Für dieses Foto musst du wissen wann und wo der Mond genau zum Vordergrund steht. Dazu musst du dann recherchieren wo du dich weit entfernt vom Vordergrund platzieren kannst um den Vordergrund klein zu sehen . Wenn das alles passt benötigst du ein großes Teleobjektiv. In meinem Fall ein 500er und natürlich ein stabiles Teleobjektiv und am besten einen Fernauslöser. Denn je grösser das tele und der zoomfaktor, desto grösser ist die Verwackelungsgefahr. Wenn du eine DSLR benutzt, solltest du den Liveview Modus wählen damit der Spiegel bereits hochgeklappt ist, weil der schon zu Verwackelungen führen kann.

Take a bicycle and cycle to the bird decoy between the villages of Norddorf and Nebel. From there it's about a 2 km walk along a boardwalk through the dunes.
Nimm ein Fahrrad und fahre damit zur Vogelkoje zwischen den Orten Norddorf und Nebel. Von dort aus sind es ca 2 km Fussweg über einen bohlenweg durch die Dünen.
