Germany Nordperd
The easternmost point of the island of Rügen is the wooded headland known as Nordperd. At the start of the footpath through the woods, a sign explains: “The coastline at Nordperd near Göhren (Göhrener Höft) is one of the steep coasts on the island of Rügen most affected by erosion.”
From several vantage points, you can see the cliffs and landslides in all their glory. The forest is also well worth seeing. The closer you get to the tip of the headland, the more enchanted it becomes.
