The Lübeck main station is the largest and most important passenger station in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck. The four-nave platform hall is 130 m long, 88 m wide and spans ten tracks. With around 34,000 travelers and visitors per day (as of 2019), Lübeck Central Station is the most frequent station in Schleswig-Holstein after Kiel Central Station.[ 1] The station was built in 1908 according to a design by Fritz Klingholz by the Lübeck-Büchener Eisenbahn (LBE), which at that time operated most of the railway connections around Lübeck, including the express train connections, to replace the previous, obsolete building. The Lübeck Central Station was included in the list of monuments of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck in 1992 as a special cultural monument. (Wikipedia)
