This spot is famos for taking incredible photos of large container ships. There's almost no other public place that's that close to the massive container ships.

Go at sunset or night to capture some unique photos. Bring a tripod if you want to do long exposure photography. A foggy night or morning can create a nice moody feeling to the photos.
If you want to capture the whole scene, it's best to bring an ultra wide lens. Otherwise a 35mm or 75mm lens can create nice shots through isolating the subject.

Take the car to Altenwerder Damm. Usually there's a spot available for a car or two. From there it's just a short walk. As you walk under the bridge, be prepared for the gigantic size of these ships.
