Aufgrund der Plattform sind Langzeitbelichtungen nur sehr eingeschränkt möglich (bei ruhigem Wetter und Wasser), da die Plattformen doch etwas schwanken. Das Schiffsradar des Hamburger Hafens (http://www.hamburg.de/schiffsradar/) gibt Aufschluss darüber, ob sich ein Schiff im Dock befindet.

Kostenpflichtige (jedoch nichtsdestotrotz sehr beliebte = ständig ausgebuchte) Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es in direkter Nähe zu den Landungsbrücken. Die nächstgelegene U-/S-Bahnhaltestelle ist Landungsbrücken.
