Kasbachtalbahn Germany

The Kasbachtalbahn is a non-electrified, single-track line, linking Linz (Rhine) with Flammersfeld. The 8.9 km long portion between is Linz am Rhein and Kalenborn is one of the steepest train tracks in Germany . The largest slope is 5.7%. The trains are run by Eifel rail mbH, providing weekends train trips from March to December and on Wednesdays between May and October in hourly action.
