Germany Thurant Castle

Thurant castle is overlooking the Mosel river near Alken (Rheinland-Pfalz). Its architecture is particularly interesting as in fact it is two castles in one, each one with its own entrance and its own keep.

Photography Tips

I took my shot from the roadside underneath the castle and parked nearby on the road which leads up to the castle itself. Ugly November weather-conditions brought up that somewhat menacing look.

You can get there by car and if you don't take too long for your shot you can leave your car at the roadside.
