Porto Germeno is a holiday resort at a bay reaching far into the land. Above the village is the ruin of the Aigosthena Fortress from the 4th century, which is being restored. Within the walls is also a very old little church. In addition to the overall structure, the size of the building blocks and the masonry without mortar are also impressive.
