Shoot at golden hour: The low sun wraps the cliffs and houses in warm light, perfect for contrast and detail. Use a mid-range focal length (35–70 mm) to compress the landscape slightly and highlight the layering of houses and terraces.
Look for leading lines — the zig-zag path to the church naturally guides the viewer’s eye.
If shooting handheld, keep your shutter speed fast; the wind on the cliffs can surprise you.

To reach this spot, you’ll first need to get to Folegandros, one of the quieter and most authentic islands in the Cyclades.
There is no airport on the island, so all travel is by ferry.

From Athens (Piraeus): Direct ferries operate most days in summer. High-speed ferries take around 3.5–4 hours, while regular ferries take 6–7 hours. From Folegandros port, 10 mins by car to Chora.
