Hungary Sopron Orsolya tér
Square Orsolya in town Sopron.
An irregular square space with an enclosed effect. The first mention of it dates back to 1428 under the name Salzmarkt (Salt Market). Later, the slaughterhouse was moved here. In 1747, nuns from Oslo founded a convent, school, and church here. This is where its current name comes from. Bombing in 1945 destroyed this picturesque square. The Lunkányi House and the Géza Gyóni House, along with the beautiful Marian Well, were swept away.
