the basilica on the bank of river Danube on top of a small hill is stunning. the rest of the city is very nice too. Maria Valeria bridge is only a few minute walk from the basilica, the other side of the bridge is Slovenia. summertime the sun sets opposite the basilica, illuminating the building and the sky behind it.

Photography Tips

either from the bridge or from the slovenian side of the river the basilica can easily be seen, including a smaller church with twin towers and nice reflections can be included on the river surface

Travel Information

there's a designated car park by the basilica, probably pay and display, not sure about that. also easily can be approached on foot, even from the other side of town under 30 min
