Aus meinem Tagebuch: Nach etwa 13 km von Vik entfernt sahen wir den Vulkanberg Hjörleifshöfði und beschlossen dort eine Wanderung zu unternehmen. 3/4 Stunde ging es steil hinauf. Herrliche Aussicht vom Gipfel aus. 3/4 Stunde wieder Abstieg.
Hjörleifshöfði ist ein 221 m hoher Inselberg im Süden von Island. Er besteht aus Palagonit.
