This is a beautiful spot to photograph cliffs along Atlantic ocean on the way to the Öndverðarnes lighthouse near the town of Hellissandur in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula.

Photography Tips

Use a wide angle lens with a polarizer. I used a ND filter to increase the exposure time to make the waves below smooth & silky. Be careful to walk along the cliffs as it is super windy. A sturdy tripod is a must.

Travel Information

An unpaved road from the main road will take you to the spot. Although a 4-wheel drive is not necessary, it will be helpful when there is ice and snow on this road.
