Travel Information

From Akureyri, drive north on Route 1 (the Ring Road) toward the Tröllaskagi Peninsula, then follow Route 82 and local coastal roads toward the small village of Siglunes. The trip to Sauðanes Lighthouse takes about 2.5–3 hours by car, depending on weather and road conditions. The final stretch is on a quieter rural road with beautiful ocean and mountain views, so check conditions on road.is before leaving, especially in winter.
