This lighthouse is located in the very West of Iceland and is reachable by driving on a dirt road for a few kilometers. It's pretty close to the cliffs and a nice stop when exploring the area.

Photography Tips

Try to find a stable part near the cliffs to get a good view of the lighthouse from the side before reaching it with the rental car. Be aware of the cliffs, waves, and strong winds. Don't get too close to the edge. The best weather for this spot is when it's windy. You will get a chance to capture some insane waves crashing into the cliffs.

Travel Information

You have to take a dirt road to get here but the driving conditions are absolutely fine and no 4x4 is needed. Parking is right behind the lighthouse available.
